Our Harvest Festival was on Sunday 11th – and today the produce you kindly donated has been delivered to Birmingham City Mission for their food bank. Very many thanks to everyone – BCM (and their clients) are very grateful.

An amazing quantity of food was kindly donated – thank you!

All bagged and boxed and ready to go.

One well-filled car!

(The front passenger seat and footwell were also full!)

Our donations are in there somewhere! At BCM’s Resource Centre at “The Clock Tower” in Langdon Street, near Garrison Circus – food donations awaiting sorting.

Yes that is an entire office room full to waist height with harvest donations awaiting sorting.

More harvest donations from schools and churches, awaiting sorting.

The sorting room was quiet today, but a good number of local businesses will be contributing staff time to get through the Harvest rush of donations.

Tins are marked and sorted according to their contents and best-before date.

Part of the area where donations are stored before being made up into food parcels.

Some food parcels ready to go out. Around 40-50 a week is typical, apparently.

The Resource Centre also deals in second-hand furniture, displayed at the other end of the building, and clothing.
